This iconic ceiling lamp, known as the "Hengellamp", was designed in 1959 by J.J.M. Hoogervorst for Anvia. Hoogervorst, main designer of the Dutch brand, was known for its functional and timeless designs. This specific copy dates from the 1970s and is a classic example of mid-century modern lighting.
The lamp has an ingenious design in which the horizontal arm is continuously adjustable in height thanks to the rotating counterweight. The hood is tiltable, and the entire arm can turn 360 degrees around its axis - ideal for targeted lighting above a dining table, workplace or sitting area.
